  1. Just wanted to let you know that you have my prayers. I stumbled across your site tonight. My daughter was diagnosed with medulloblastoma (brain tumor) on August 6. Tumor was totally removed, but is going through 6 cycles of chemotherapy to keep it from coming back. The last three are very intensive and require a stem cell transplantation. We are heading to Shands in Gainesville tomorrow to start the process of harvesting her stem cells now. She has had her first two rounds of chemo and has faired well.

Just wanted to say hi and let you know that you and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. God bless.

  2. Not sure the best way to comment back to you...so on here again.

She only has to do this for six cycles - 21 days each if everything goes well. We were in Gainesville three weeks ago trying to get the stem cells harvested when she got an infection and so it was a no go. Her main hospital is Arnold Palmer in Orlando, but they referred her to Shands because of the stem cells.

I wasn't sure where you were except for in Florida. I will look for you clinic this week. We will probably be there nearly every day doing blood work to see when she will be ready for the stem cell harvesting. If you hear horrible screaming around 11 a.m. tomorrow that is probably my girl. They have to change her bandaging on her double pheresis catheter and she HATES it!
